After
graduating from SIU-C, Ausanta moved back to Chicago where she began
working in corporate America. During her spare time, she taught aerobic
classes at Bally Total Fitness in the Midwest, including Chicago, and
performed as a dancer in numerous shows. She was selected to tour with
a major Artist, R. Kelly in 1994-1995 (The 12 Play Tour)
where she choreographed several routines. Before the 12-Play
tour ended, she was asked to choreograph and dance on another year-long
tour for Keith Sweat.
Shortly after the Keith Sweat tour, she attended the American Conservatory
Theatre Summer Training Program in San Francisco. She then relocated
to Los Angeles where she blossomed in the entertainment industry. She
has over 25 years of experience in the performing arts industry, and
over 15 years of professional experience as a dancer/choreographer and
over 15 years as an aerobic and fitness instructor.
Currently, Ausanta teaches African-Aerobics, hip-hop, step, and stretch
& tone classes at Bally
Total Fitness
in Culver City and West Los Angeles, California. She has choreographed
& danced in an enormous amount of music videos for major Rap/R&B
Artists. Her goal is to promote health & fitness globally through
dance.
